Monique Talbot Office and Teacher Aide Can do pretty much anything really. I am born and bred a westie, although I did live 6 years in the UK, working with children. I have 4 children of my own, 3 boys and a girl , all of whom have been through Western Heights and loved it and now moved on. I started at Western Heights in 2018 as a Teacher Aide and then shared the job with joining the office team. I Love working alongside young children. It's been a passion of mine for a very long time. |
Karamea Matthes LEARNING ASSISTANT Kia Orana, I have been a part of the Western Heights whanau as Teachers Support from 2019, but also in other capacities since 2006 with my 3 children coming through this school. The growth of a child from when they start Year 0/1 to Year 6 is a wonderful journey to watch, and I enjoy being part of it supporting in their learnings. |
Emerald Webb LEARNING ASSISTANT I have worked as a Teacher Aide at Western Heights School since 2021. I have been involved with the school since my oldest child started in 2018, and volunteered to help children with their reading a few times a week. I have a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Nursing, though since attaining those qualifications I have learned that my passion is working with children. I love helping children learn and develop new skills as they journey through school. |
Erin McEwen LEARNING ASSISTANT I have been part of the Western Heights team since 2023, working as a Teacher Aide. My son also attended Western Heights School. He loved his primary school years. Previously I worked at Sturges Road Kindergarten as a Teaching Assistant for a number of years. I love nurturing and watching the children learn and grow in their early school years. |
Naydene Verryt LEARNING ASSISTANT I grew up in West Auckland and came to Western Heights School as a student. I have a background in Administration roles and have a passion for dance. I started working as a Teacher Aide in 2023. It is very rewarding seeing a child progress in their learning as you are assisting them. I feel very blessed to be part of the Western Heights School Whanau/community again, where there is a strong sense of inclusion, equality and Manaakitanga among staff and students. |
